Xmas

So the jolly season is over and it was jolly to say the least. Food and booze in copious amounts to the point of bursting. I didn't think it was actually possible to consume so much cheese!

Highlights
Cheese
Finding out I love Port
Christmas Day - especailly Ester the Molester and the Bread Band
Snow in the UK - and lots of it!
Seeing all my friends and family - esp my little Grandad
2 weeks off work
Trip to Devon (spooning optional)
Skater boy squat party

Lowlights
Getting snowed in and not being able to go shopping
Not getting any sleep on the flight back to Dubai
Redundancies at work

Ok so the good outweighs the bad - but it does mean I am now on the job hunt!

Back to the healthy eating and now need to get on the exercise vibe. Still hatching the plan - will report back soon i.e. when I start!

Happy New Year x

Ho Ho Ho

Tis the season to be jolly - and eat lots! I am not getting my health factory until after Xmas so I am incharge and not really doing too well. Put on a kilo. But it is not the end of the world and to combat all the food that seems to be on offer I have been runnig with Zea 2 nights this week and may well squeeze another one in tonight too.

I have 4 days til I go back to the UK to visit my friends and family so need to keep up the hard work - no doubt there will be back to back eating and merryment for New Years also though.

I need to just get through this and then get back on it fully when I get back after the new year - 10th Jan.

Have a great Christmas and New Year everyone - I will return in 2010!

P.S. Check out my amazing tree decorating skills!

Fatty Pants v Faddy Pants

So as you can tell it has been a while since we caught up last. I have been some what hectic since we last spoke (confession time ahoy ...) I have had a friend visiting and having not seen the awesome human that she is for over a year a celebration was in order. I think I could have taken things a step too far by starting the celebration the day before she arrived on ladies night. A few drinks turned into a full scale uni and flat reunion with most of my nearest and dearest and carnage ensued! I managed to get myself in such a state that I never woke up in the morning and nearly forgot to get her from the airport - if that isn't reaching an all time high I don't know what is!

It has been freaking fantastic having her here and as it was the Rugby 7's this weekend our flat soon turned into a youth hostel and partying was the only thing on the agenda.

In light of this - and whilst I was on the road to oblivion pouring more than double measures for myself before I left the house - one of the flat mates called me 'faddy'. Now I have been called fatty before but never faddy but I think the boy has a point. I was sooo dedicated and working so hard towards this goal for 2 weeks solid then the winds change and I drop my guard and go all out to ruin it all.

I was still getting all my lovely health factory goodies delivered this whole time which was a shame as I was so busy, I missed quite a few of them and needless to say easily made the wrong choices when ordering fried foods, breads and scoffing cheese!

But in all of this, the copious amounts of booze and letting my short hair down i have still managed to hold onto the weight that I lost and not put any on! Think some days I was soo hungover I would have barfed if I had of eaten. So here we are nearly 1 month in and 6kgs lighter!

Only 14 to go!

I need to focus on this run up to Xmas and the big festivites themselves. Fingers still crossed!!!

Its working

4kgs lost in the first week and I must say that I am pretty happy with that! Only another 16 to go!

It really hasn't been too hard either and I think I have been realistic enough so that I can keep this up.

Sorry I have been super hectic and not been able to write more recently but I will resume normal service soon!

The Aftermath of Ladies Night

Ladies night for those not in Dubai is a pretty amazing concept - free booze for Ladies every Tuesday in pretty much every bar in town! We hooked up at Horizon last night and managed with our charm and great looks to squeeze far more than the 2 free glasses of champagne each that we were supposed to have. Needless to say this morning I was a little fuzzy and getting up at 7am to go for a run and workout on the beach took some effort. I went out with Anna, a friend of a friend who is training to be a personal trainer. She is awesome and looks amazing, the fact she has had 2 kids is unthinkable! Although I ended up very sweaty and covered in sand, I felt great for doing it, in fact it was quite fun. The beach is awesome in the morning, no one about apart from a few people doing yoga and a couple of people out for a run.

I got home to my little green cooler bag from Health Factory and needless to say I was starving by this point. Today’s food looks great - omelette for brekkie and cheesecake snack already eaten today and lasagna and sea food to come!

I am going to make a point of doing absolutely nothing this evening - really need to start building in some “Dani Downtime” and I am going to try and be in bed at 10pm without falling asleep on the couch!

Bagel Fun

I liked my work with my cream cheese bagel this morning so thought I should share it with you. Kept me busy for 5 mins = keeping me out of trouble!
